In Europe there's European Championship, South America has the Copa America, and Asia Pacific has the Asian Cup; one of the most exciting tournaments that fascinates half the globe. The Asian Cup in 2015 will kick off on the 9th of January, it is becoming more of a feature of the calendar in the world every time. Australia was selected to be the host nation to the best of Asia football as they battle it out to be crowned champions during the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.

It’s the first time Australia has presented the Asian Cup after joining in 2006. Out of the 16 teams competing, Australia, Japan, South Korea and North Korea have already secured their places in the competition which allows football supporters to plan with certainty their travel downunder to watch their national team.
