What a magical way to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. It was an amazing experience. Thanks to Pilot John and your professional team. We will be back.

I know its an early start but its all part of what is a very good attraction in Cairns. From the bus ride up into the tablelands to inflating the ballons to helping pack up at the end of the flight four of us enjoyed our flight over the Australian countryside. We felt safe at all times, the ground crew were polite and helpful, our pilot Johann informative and very competent and of course the flight which was surreal. Whether it was drifting close to the tree tops looking for kangeroos or going up reallly high to see the sun come up it is a fantastic way to see Australia from a different perspective. Jessica:
This morning I was woken up before dawn at the hostel, by two very excited friends, who were ecstatic to be able to fly high in the sky in a hot air balloon over the world famous oz outback that coming morning. We somehow managed to be in time to get down and meet our driver guide for the morning (who seemed extremely chirpy at such an early hour). We hopped on the tour bus and drove up the Kuranda range which was surrounded by incredible rainforest, and as we climbed higher we were able to see the glowing city of cairns at night. As we approached the launch sight we saw the spectacular sight of the balloons getting bigger. As we watched the balloons inflate next to a setting moon and a rising sun, we couldn’t keep our excitement bottled.
We boarded the balloon that looked like a giant koala smiling down on us, and floated gently into the blue misty sky above and waved to the friendly crew below. I must say the moments we spent floating above the beautifully scenic outback I felt very at peace and my friend Jenny seemed to be very content, it seemed breathtaking. She agreed with me it was the best decision we had made that holiday! As Jay our pilot showed us the one of a kind land marks around the local region Mareeba and watching the sun rise through the inspiring sky scraping mountains, and the sun sheading beams of light through the mist into the valley below, we lost track of time and soon we were landing in a paddock near the lake we previously flew over. We disembarked the basket and found the paddock we had landed in was home to a local kangaroo family. After leaving our breath taking morning and our new found kangaroo friends we thanked the crew for an inspiring morning. I definitely recommend this trip for everyone , I also recommend not to wear heels, as Jenny found out after the morning.

I just also wanted to say that I had a truly fantastic morning on my balloon ride on the 19.03.2013. A Hot Air Balloon Ride is always something that I have wanted to do and now I have done it. Please extend my very best wishes to all concerned with my ride for their superb hard work. If I hear of any of my friends or family that are coming to Cairns I shall certainly recommend Hotair Ballooning to them if they want a really unforgetable experience. All the best
