YOUR ITINERARY
| 05.00 am | Pick-up at your accommodation by a Hot Air coach for your special Cairns tour package, there's a one hour transfer through the Kuranda rainforest. Pickup times are confirmed on booking. |
| 06.30 am | Experience the fun & unique sensation of a hot air balloon ride over the Atherton Tablelands, Australia. We fly at Mareeba in the Cairns Highlands. Enjoy the picturesque landscape at sunrise. Breathe in the wide-open spaces! We have Australia's largest fleet of balloons and a fun and highly trained crew to maximise the fun of your morning. It's just like a balloon festival every day! |
| 08.30 am | Come down to earth and enjoy a Champagne breakfast to celebrate! Fresh juices, eggs & bacon, tropical fruits and a hot and cold buffet is all yours as you relax at our special exclusive use venue "Ringers Rest" set on a Cattle Station in the serenity of the Australian bush close to our landing spot. There's a choice of hot dishes (bacon, scrambled eggs with "real" eggs!, a hot tomato dish, a hot pasta dish, a hot rice dish, toast white and grain, and jam or vegemite), fruit platter with seasonal fruits from the local area, local Mareeba coffee, tea, juices, and a hot and cold buffet of cereals, muesli, yoghurts and traditional celebratory glass of Sparkling Australian wine. Yummy and all prepared in our own on site kitchen with time to relax and enjoy your accomplishments of the morning. Digital photos are available to purchase at breakfast (or online later). |
| 10.00 am | Your Hot Air Balloon tour driver will drop you off to Skyrail Caravonica Station and your travel with them is booked for this time. It will take 1.5 hours to travel to the top of the range, allowing for the two very worthwhile rainforest interpretation stops are along the way. |
| 11.30 am | Arrive in the village in the rainforest, Kuranda, for free time to go shopping and sightseeing. Check out the Kuranda Markets |
| 3.15 pm | Board the Kuranda Scenic Railway at Kuranda Station. Train departs at 3.30pm. (2.00pm Train available by request) The Train will stop at Barron Falls for some time to enjoy the view. In total will take about 1.5 hours. |
| 5.00 pm | Arrive at historic Freshwater Station for your shuttle bus return to your accommodation. Please ask one of the friendly bus drivers at the station. (earlier departure if travelling on the earlier train). |
