Your experienced whitewater rafting River Guide will pick you up from the Shangri-La Hotel, The Marina, Cairns and transfer you to the top of the Barron River (Grade 3) just 20 minutes away.

Arrive at Barron Gorge Power Station. Split up into crews for briefing. You'll spend a bit over one and a half hours on the river, its a grade 3 river, great as an introductory experience and for those looking for a shorter rafting trip than the full day Tully

“A fun and memorable experience”
We did this as part of our vacation in Cairns and it was a first time for me going up in a hot air ballooon. I didn't quite know what to expect and it turned out to be a great experience. I thought I might be nervous as I have a slight fear of heights but the ride was extremely smooth, I didn't even realize we had lifted off the ground at the beginning! The crew was fun and friendly; I usually judge the skill of the pilot by the landing and so we had a great pilot because the landing was very smooth.
Overall it was a fantastic experience, the view from up there was like nothing I had seen and I loved the calm and peacefulness of floating thousands of feet above the ground. (via Trip Advisor)

It's an amazing experience both for my daughter and me. Although I’ve heard it’s something should be tried from my friend before, it startled me anyway. The scenery was so beautiful and even more beautiful from the sky at sunrise. We saw kangaroos in the forest. It was fantastic…The pilot and bus driver were so friendly, all the facilities were so well prepared, and the whole process were professionally organized. The only thing left for you is to enjoy….

My Family and me did the hot Air Ballooning on 20th May 2011 it was an awesome experience on the ground, in the air , i had a private pick up which was done by TONY - what a nice chap, the entire journey up & down till he dropped us back to our hotel Shangri la was a wonderful experience.He explained everything so well and we knew what to expect next.
Shawn our Balloon pilot was another fun guy to be with there up in the air as he explained and maneuvered the balloon for the 1 hour that we were on board.
