YOUR ITINERARY
| 5.00am (approx) | Pick-up at your accommodation by a Hot Air coach for your special Port Douglas tour package, there's a one hour transfer through the Kuranda rainforest. Pickup times are confirmed on booking. |
| 6.30am | Experience the fun & unique sensation of a hot air balloon ride over the Atherton Tablelands, Australia. We fly at Mareeba in the Cairns Highlands. Enjoy the picturesque landscape at sunrise. Breathe in the wide-open spaces! We have Australia's largest fleet of balloons and a fun and highly trained crew to maximise the fun of your morning. It's just like a balloon festival every day! |
| 8.30am | Come down to earth and enjoy a Champagne breakfast to celebrate! Fresh juices, eggs & bacon, tropical fruits and a hot and cold buffet is all yours as you relax at our special exclusive use venue "Ringers Rest" set on a Cattle Station in the serenity of the Australian bush close to our landing spot. There's a choice of hot dishes (bacon, scrambled eggs with "real" eggs!, a hot tomato dish, a hot pasta dish, a hot rice dish, toast white and grain, and jam or vegemite), fruit platter with seasonal fruits from the local area, local Mareeba coffee, tea, juices, and a hot and cold buffet of cereals, muesli, yoghurts and traditional celebratory glass of Sparkling Australian wine. Yummy and all prepared in our own on site kitchen with time to relax and enjoy your accomplishments of the morning. Digital photos are available to purchase at breakfast (or online later). |
| 9.45am | Your Hot Air Balloon tour driver will drop you off to the Freshwater Connections Train Station where you will be met by a Reef & Rainforest Coaches Representative. You will then board the 9.45am Kuranda Scenic Railway to Kuranda. |
| 11.00am | Arrive in the village in the rainforest, Kuranda, for free time to go shopping and sightseeing. Kuranda Markets are daily. |
| 1.45pm | Board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway with time for 2 worthwhile stops on your way down from Kuranda to explore the rainforest. |
| 3.30pm | Arrive at Skyrail Caravonica Station for our bus return to your Port Douglas accommodation. |
