day in the life of a Balloon Pilot / Crew
This experience will give you a unique view of what it is like to be in the ballooning industry and
how we set up every day to create memories and experiences for all of our guests. This behind-the-scenes experience is like unique to anything offered before.

Your Morning
Meet the crew at our Beaudesert Base, Meet your pilot who will be flying you on the day.
Take a tour of our facility with your crew member to see how we store, maintain and get our
balloons ready for a successful day of operations.
NOTE: Pickup times WILL vary according to the time of year and are confirmed on booking.
Watch our weather observations as we make the decision of where we will fly on the day of your
experience. Take a tour of the command centre where we bring in multiple forecasts and
weather observations to make our decision of what our operation looks like.
Be a part of the crew as we watch a number of pi-balls to ascertain where we will launch from,
and this is just the beginning of your experience.
At the launch site you will see your crew and pilot set up the balloon and get a rare view of an
industry that is in bed before most people wake up. Plenty of photo opportunities exist for this
experience.
Once the balloon is inflated now is the time to board and get ready for the flight (up to an hour
in duration), with our balloons up to 13 stories high these majestic beauties are ready to take to
the air.
Guaranteed pilot side position so he can answer any questions you may have during the flight
and provide you with expertise commentary of the day.
Once you have finished your flight it's time for pack up and putting your balloon away with your
experienced crew, then upon your return to the balloon base you can take the time with the
team, before you continue your journey experiencing the Scenic Rim.
Finishing your morning at around 08.30am this experience gives you the ultimate time to
experience a local breakfast and the region that you have just flown over.

- Bookings can be made for a family member or a gift voucher
- Rebooking fee of $50 per person applies if customers no shows for their day of travel
- For Passengers with Weight or Mobility or Pregnancy queries - please phone us to discuss before booking online.
- Prices are $AUD per person.
- All times are an INDICATION only. Please note that times do change summer/winter/spring, exact start times given on receipt of your full booking details
- 100% charge applies if passengers fail to present on the morning booked. 24 hours notice is required for changes. Re-booking is subject to availability and possible at a fee, please ask us.
- Classic flight is minimum 40 minute flight
