I holidayed in Cairns for 2 weeks, and took this tour the day before I went home. I was a little worried as it was raining in Cairns, but the area around Mareeba was bright and sunny. There were 7 balloons lined up as we arrived, and it was magnificent to see them raised with fire and fans. We took off, and soon afterwards I saw a Kangaroo in the wild. It was a half hour flight, but the time passed in the blink of an eye and we made the great barrier reef cruise at the marina, with plenty of time after the balloon ride.
