Wanted to do the hot air balloon ride for long, and we did it finally. The experience was amazing and would stay back with us for long. The pick up from our hotel was done at 3:30am, worth all the pain! Mareeba itself is a beautiful place but as soon as we saw the balloons it felt like a postcard adventure in front of us. The staffs were all experinced and very helpful. We had our 7 yr old kid with us, but the fly was absolutely amazing. No bumpy landings etc. The only concern might be the heat that blows off the balloon but that is endurable. The sceneic/ aerial view frm the top was beyond words. The sky looked serene and crimson with the first ray of the early morning sun. Had fun and definately recommended if you are at Queensland for a holiday. - via Tripadvisor
