An Unforgettable Cairns Balloon Experience 🎈
It was an absolutely wonderful experience! You can’t have this kind of experience in Japan, and the koala-pattern hot air balloon was even cuter than we imagined! We were also lucky enough to see the sunrise, which made us feel very grateful. The weather and wind conditions were perfect, and we could even see wallabies from above. Captain Bob and all the ground staff provided amazing hospitality. We even saw the Southern Cross!

We requested hotel transfers, but on the way back we asked if we could be dropped at the Cairns Central shopping centre instead because we wanted to visit there. They happily agreed. Later, our child felt a bit unwell after landing due to lack of sleep, so we asked if we could be taken back to the hotel after all, and they kindly agreed again. After arriving at the hotel, they even carefully explained how to get to Cairns Central, so we were able to visit later that afternoon without any trouble. Thank you!!
After landing, everyone helped pack up the balloon together, which created a great sense of unity among the passengers. By the time we were taking photos and toasting together afterwards, everyone felt like a team and the atmosphere was fantastic. I’m really glad we got to experience it. We also visited the local gelato shop that was recommended to us on the way back — it was delicious!
As mentioned beforehand, make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and comfortable shoes that can also get dirty. With the transfers, flight, refreshments after the flight, and champagne, everything was safe and very satisfying. Highly recommended! Tony!! We’ll come again!
