Hot air ballooning is weather-dependent, and our pilots only fly when conditions are safe. On the rare occasion we have to cancel due to weather, you can choose to rebook for another date (subject to availability) or receive a full refund. No questions asked. We'll always let you know as early as possible if a flight can't go ahead.

You've got three options. Most guests choose hotel pick-up, which is included from accommodations in Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Main Beach and Southport - our coach collects you from your hotel lobby. Self-drivers can meet us at Kurrawa Surf Club in Broadbeach (a coastal meeting point - leave your car, join the coach, and return to it after breakfast). Or for guests staying on Tamborine Mountain or travelling from Brisbane, you can meet us at our Hinterland points at Nerang or Canungra - but note that if you pick a Hinterland start, you'll self-drive to The Langham for breakfast afterwards. Your exact pick-up time is confirmed in your booking.

Plan for the full morning. From pre-dawn pick-up through to return drop-off, the experience typically runs around six hours - including transfer to the launch site, the balloon inflation, the 60-minute flight, the bubbles toast on landing, the coach to The Langham, up to one hour at breakfast, and the return trip to your accommodation. Exact timing varies with the season, conditions on the morning, and where you're staying. You'll be back at your hotel by mid-to-late morning.

Yes. Your digital photo package (valued at $135) is included in the $390 price. No extra charge. It's delivered digitally after your flight.

Yes - Hot Air Balloon + Beachside Breakfast at The Langham operates seven days a week, year-round, weather permitting. There's no premium for weekends or public holidays. If conditions force a cancellation, we'll rebook you or refund you in full.

Yes, hotel pick-up is included from over 300 Gold Coast hotels and accommodations. When you book, you'll choose your pick-up location from a drop-down - if you're staying at a significant hotel on the Gold Coast, we almost certainly cover it. If you're staying outside the pick-up zone, you can self-drive to our coastal meeting point at Kurrawa Surf Club in Broadbeach instead.

Yes - a full buffet breakfast at Akoya restaurant inside The Langham Gold Coast is included in your $390. Akoya is an absolute beachfront restaurant overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with a substantial buffet that caters to all dietary requirements. You'll have up to one hour to enjoy breakfast and the ocean views before the coach departs for return transfers. There's nothing more to pay on the day.

Our Hot Air Balloon + Beachside Breakfast at The Langham experience is a 60-minute hot air balloon flight over the Gold Coast Hinterland. Actual time in the air can vary slightly depending on wind, weather, and landing conditions on the morning - sometimes a bit shorter, sometimes a bit longer. Your pilot makes the call based on conditions, with safety as the priority. Every flight is different, and that's part of what makes ballooning the experience it is.

Absolutely - and a lot of guests do. Once breakfast is finished, you're welcome to stay on at The Langham to enjoy the hotel's facilities, explore the Surfers Paradise foreshore, or take your time getting back. The G:link light rail station is a short walk from The Langham, so you've got an easy way to return to your accommodation whenever you're ready. Just let our crew know on the morning so they don't hold the coach for you.
