• Will I need to bring my confirmation printout or e-ticket along?

    We recommend you to bring some form of confirmation along as it helps our drivers to identify you on the morning. Should you forget please ensure you have some form of identification for the person whose name the booking is under.

  • Can I come into your office to talk about the experience?

  • I want to buy a flight but I dont know the date yet, can I still book now?

    Yes you can buy one of our gift vouchers which are valid for 12 months after the date of purchase and just call up with the booking number when you have picked a date.  

  • Can I get a refund on a gift voucher?

    If the voucher hasn't expired the purchaser of the gift voucher can be refunded the amount of the gift voucher. The recipient cannot receive the refund. 

  • Do you offer hot air balloon gift vouchers? How do I purchase them?

    Gift vouchers can be purchased for our daily and extended hot air balloon departures. Our vouchers are open dated and valid for up to 36 months. Gift Certificates will be instantly emailed to you once you have purchased. To see all of our gift voucher options please go to the Gift Voucher page

  • Can I redeem a hot air ballooning gift voucher online or does it have to be done over the phone? Also what happens in the case of unpredictable bad weather on the day of the flight?

    Once you have received a gift voucher and wish to book in a departure date, please either email is at [email protected] or phone us with your booking ID number which is located on the bottom of your gift voucher.

    Unfortunately gift vouchers can not be redeemed via our website. 

  • Im trying to print off the balloon itinerary as this is a bday present for someone and I cant. Can you email me the information please?

    We are able to email you all the details you require if you advise us of the departure you are wanting to book along with your email address. 

    If you have already purchased the voucher you can advise us of the booking ID number and we can check the details this way as well.

  • I am looking to buy a voucher for 2 people as a 60th birthday present from Port Douglas. Do you send us the voucher by post or email?

    You can purchase gift vouchers online or over the phone with our reservations staff between 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday and 9am-2pm Saturday and Sunday.​

    Once you have selected the voucher you would like to purchase, enter the details and upon payment we will instantly send you an email with a PDF copy of the voucher attached. Should you wish to have a voucher posted please let us know by email or chat along with the postal address it needs to be sent to. Please note that post can take up to 7 days and is only possible within Australia.

  • I am exploring options for a present for my parents, what do you offer?

    We have gift vouchers available which are open dated for 12 months from the date of purchase. We have a range of vouchers available for all options whether it be for Christmas, Mother's or Father's Day, Birthdays, Anniversaries or just to say Thank you. 

  • What options are there for last minute gift ideas?

    Have you left your gift to the last minute? A Hot Air Balloon gift voucher is the perfect last minute idea. A gift voucher will be emailed to you instantly, meaning you can buy a voucher anytime and receive a PDF copy it right away, that you can either print and put in a card or forward to the lucky recipient. 

  • How much does it cost to get a gift voucher posted to me?

    There is no cost for us to post a gift voucher. We can post them to the purchaser or the recipient. We will post the voucher the same you advise us the postal address, normal postage times apply for gift vouchers to be delivered to you. If you wish for the voucher to be posted Express Post there is a $10- fee

  • When can I use my Gift Voucher?

    We fly everyday excluding Christmas Day and New Years Day, weather depending. We suggest to book your travel date as least a week in advance but sometimes there is availability for our flights a couple of days before. You can check our availability on the calendar HERE

  • What are the payment options for Hot Air Balloon gifts?

    You can purchase one of our gift vouchers online with a credit card, Paypal or Alipay. Once your payment is process the voucher will be emailed to your straight away. Alternatively you can contact our team to arrange payment by bank transfer. Please contact us on our online chat, by phone or email if you would like to make a bank transfer for a gift voucher. 

  • My gift voucher runs out next week, can I extend it for another month?

    Yes, please contact us before the expiry date to extend your voucher. There is a $25- fee to extend the voucher. Have your ticket reference number and your credit card handy. Please call us or chat to us on our website daily between 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday and 9am-2pm Saturday and Sunday.​

  • What happens if the person I gift the voucher to doesn't want to fly?

    Gift vouchers are transferable and refundable. Refund can be done back onto the purchaser's credit card.

  • Can I change the name on the gift voucher if I dont know who my friend is taking with them?

    Yes, you can change the name on a gift voucher or you can just list one name on the voucher even if it is for more than 1 person.

  • How long will it take for me to receive my gift voucher?

    When you purchase a gift card online via our website the Gift Voucher will be emailed to you instantly.  You can also call our office from 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday and 9am-2pm Saturday and Sunday.​ to purchase a gift certificate over the phone; it will also be emailed to you instantly.  You can also provide your address details and have the gift voucher posted to you by mail, we will post it the same day you purchase, so delivery time is subject to usual postage times.

  • What happens to my voucher if you cancel due to bad weather?

    If we have to cancel due to bad weather we will give you the option to rebook for another day, leave the Gift Voucher open dated so you can contact us in the future to rebook, or the Gift Voucher purchaser can be fully refunded. We have a very high take-off rate and have the best locations in the world for reliability & hot air ballooning. 

  • How long are gift vouchers valid for?

    Our hot air balloon Gift Vouchers are valid for 36 months from the date of purchase.  The Gift Certificate recipient can book in a date that suits them to travel.  The details are on the voucher for them to know how and when to book in their date.  We recommend to book at least a week in advance. 

  • How do I redeem my Gift Voucher?

    Have you received a hot air balloon Gift Voucher for Christmas, your Birthday or another special occasion?  It's easy to redeem, simply contact us by email or phone.  The instructions and details are on the bottom right hand corner of your certificate.  

    • How much notice to I have to give to book my travel date?

      We suggest to book at least a week in advance but there may still be availability to book a day or two before your travel date.  Some periods may be busier than others, such as weekends and Christmas holidays.
