Great Accommodation Ideas on the Gold Coast

When it comes to what Gold Coast accommodation you choose to book, we can only suggest you book direct with your Gold Coast Hotel or Gold Coast apartment as they all have online booking services which let you ask additional questions about your holiday and permit you some flexibility after it comes to adjustments possibly to your date or adding an extra person or late check outs.

There are countless choices within the wide range of Gold Coast accommodation available, whether you are staying as a couple, as a family, as a solo tourist, a corporate traveller or as a backpacker or a honeymoon twosome, the Gold Coast and the Gold Coast beaches has quite a bit to suit both your budget and sense of style.

As you start your search for Gold Coast accommodation and look into the wide assortment on the internet, you can choose not only your target price range; a deluxe five star hotel or a fully serviced apartment that has a beach outlook but has seen better days or even somewhere that has no views, is quite a bargain and is only 2 blocks back from the world famous Gold Coast beaches but it also pays to consider the location of your Gold Coast accommodation. Every local beach and region has it’s own distinctive personality.

Surfers Paradise is walking distance to nightclubs and bars, shopping ranges from Cartier to surfer dude gear and bikinis, then there’s Main Beach. A strip of apartments that are only 2 blocks walk from some restaurants the locals consider the best around. Broadbeach is family friendly and is across the highway from Jupiter’s Casino and one of the biggest shopping centres in Queensland. Or there are beaches like Mermaid Beach, Nobby’s Beach, Burleigh Beach, Palm Beach and we have even got to Kirra Beach and Coolangatta.

If you choose to stay at a Surfers Paradise hotel, you may not require a hire car at all, as some major Gold Coast tours and attractions offer door to door transfer services. Generally if you choose to stay 15 minutes north or south of Surfers Paradise, we recommend getting a Gold Coast hire car, as getting to dining, entertainment or tours and Gold Coast theme parks, will be dependent on taxis or public buses, taking precious time from your Gold Coast holiday.

Practically all Gold Coast accommodation come with in room fridges, tea and coffee making facilities and en-suites. Regrettably none of the Gold Coast Resorts or Hotels have large or well-equipped gyms, with most providing simple exercise bikes and free weights only but there’s always the super wide sandy Gold Coast beaches to go out and jog or even hire a bicycle and cycle on.

If you happen to want a longer holiday then we suggest checking out the range of Broadbeach Apartments as they seem to have the best offerings for size for self-contained Gold Coast apartments and remember that these do come with very limited reception opening hours & on site conveniences.

When finalising your Gold Coast accommodation, don’t forget to also book ahead for any of the Gold Coast tours and attractions that you are keen on. Some do book out and all local Gold Coast tour operators have very generous and simple cancellation and transfer conditions, so if you book ahead, you can always change the date when you arrive. Remember to book your Gold Coast Whale Watching tour, your Gold Coast Hot Air Balloon & Vineyard Breakfast experience and some time with the local wildlife, like at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, as they truly are the Top Three Things to Do in Gold Coast.
