Each split-level cottage at Witches Falls has a stone gable, bull-nose veranda, polished timber floors, a cosy fireplace and reverse-cycle air-conditioning to ensure a pleasurable and relaxing stay any time of year. A feature of every cottage is a private garden with BBQ and an indoor/outdoor bathroom with a luxurious double spa bath.

At around 550 metres above sea level, Tamborine Mountain sits on a prehistoric volcanic rim offering unrivalled views - the shimmering Coral Sea and Gold Coast to the East, the green hinterland valleys to the West, north beyond Stradbroke Island and south beyond Coolangatta and Tweed Heads. It has been described as an island in the sky.

During your stay, you can look forward to complimentary Port wine and chocolates in your cottage and a delicious breakfast hamper with freshly baked homemade bread delivered to your cottage on the mornings when you are not ballooning. Scrumptious BBQ hampers or cheese platters can also be prepared for you to enjoy as an afternoon snack or as a moonlit dinner in your private courtyard garden.

On the morning of your Hot Air Ballooning experience, after your flight and Champagne Breakfast at O’Reilly’s Vineyard, you will return to Witches Falls Cottages at around 10am. This leaves you with plenty of time to discover everything that Tamborine Mountain has to offer.

With an elevation of around 550 metres above sea level, Tamborine Mountain is part of a prehistoric volcanic rim that offers unrivalled views of the shimmering Coral Sea and Gold Coast to the East and of the green valleys of the hinterland to the West. The views span far beyond Stradbroke Island to the North and beyond Coolangatta and Tweed Heads to the South.

Tamborine Mountain has been described as an ‘island in the sky’ and boasts a golf course, award winning wineries, an eclectic range of shops, fabulous markets, exceptional restaurants and cafes and many tourist attractions. These attractions include the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, the Cedar Creek Glow Worm Caves and the Botanical Gardens, which is a great spot to enjoy a delicious picnic hamper available from the great deli we are happy to recommend to all our guests.

The foodies among you will delight in Tamborine Mountain’s award winning cheese factory, its boutique breweries and award-winning distillery, as well as an amazing variety of restaurants to suit every palate - from Polish, Thai and French cuisine to traditional Australian fare.

Within walking distance of Witches Falls Cottages is the famous Clancy’s Irish Pub and within just a 1km radius there are three superb wineries. Witches Falls Winery is just 300 metres from our front door and the Cedar Creek Estate, a great lunchtime watering hole and the home of the Glow Worm Caves, is about a 10-minute walk down Hartley Road.

The mountain is also home to several National Parks and our cottages are close to the entrance to Queensland’s first and oldest National Park, the Witches Falls Circuit. A short stroll from our cottages you will also find a fabulous lookout from which to view the Western sunset at the close of day.
