Mount Nathan Winery - Gold Coast Hinterland Wine Trail

Mount Nathan Winery is situated amongst the rich nectar of a Paulownia plantation on the lush Clagiraba Creek, in the scenic Gold Coast Hinterland, South Eastern Queensland. They are close to all major facilities, and are only 20 minute drive from Surfers Paradise, 15 minutes from theme parks, 45 minutes from Brisbane, and 30 minutes from Tweed Heads. The newest member of Gold Coast Hinterland Wine Country, Mount Nathan Winery, is the culmination of many years toil & effort from the time George Gibson picked grapes at Cessnock NSW in the 1930's through to establishing a Winery on the Central Coast of NSW 30 years ago. The Central Coast Winery commenced operation producing a range of fruit wines expanding into creams & grape-based products and more recently, honey-based products have been produced in small quantities.

This is an award winning boutique winery and is a family run business so the wines are carefully made. This successful formula has extended to a relatively new line of flavoured honey wines which have world wide appeal and are exported throughout the Southern Hemisphere and Asia. Bee hives have been established on the property to take advantage of the natural environment to produce our desired additive free honey.

Honey is extracted and packaged on site to be sold to the public as well as fermented / fortified on site to produce a truly unique range of product including snowy (white) and traditional red honey port, as well as a range of honey-based creams such as Coffee, Chocolate, & Pina Colada.

Relax in the air conditioned winery and enjoy the range of attractions at the property such as sheep feeding, yabby and bee observation, sampling wine from the barrel, hands on production and wine tasting. Interactive, educational, and team building activities for incentive groups are also provided. They also can individualize your wine samples by putting pictures on the bottle.
You can plan a visit to this unique winery after enjoying your ballooning experience with Hot Air Balloon Gold Coast. Balloon tour is operated every morning, self drive to Nerang or Canungra to get picked up and dropped off after so it is a comfortable easy drive to Mount Nathan Winery after the ballooning. It also includes delicious vineyard breakfast at O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyard.
