Rising Together: Cairns Flights Resume Dec 23rd

Following the devastation caused by Cyclone Jasper, we understand the immense challenges faced by our community. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this natural disaster, including several of our staff, and we remain committed to supporting the ongoing recovery efforts.

With cautious optimism, we are pleased to announce the resumption of hot air balloon flights around Mareeba, commencing this Saturday, December 23rd. This decision comes after careful assessment of the launch and landing sites, ensuring their safety and accessibility with the cooperation of landowners.

Port Douglas

We recognise that road closures continue to affect certain areas, including Port Douglas. Therefore, our Port Douglas operations will remain on hold until mid-January at this point,  when we'll re-assess. Normal operations commence on this date for customers in Cairns and the Northern Beaches. We plan to expand our operations to other areas as soon as infrastructure repairs are completed and access is restored.

Kuranda Scenic Rail

Packages with Kuranda Scenic Rail are currently not available until 11 January due to information from package partners Kuranda Scenic Rail and Skyrail. (Note this does not affect Skyrail itself, only the train).

Regional Recovery

Resuming operations is an important step for our business, allowing us to support our staff and contribute to the economic recovery of the region. Additionally, we believe that offering this unique experience can provide a moment of joy and peace amidst the difficulties many are facing. Soaring above the landscape can be a powerful reminder of the beauty and resilience of our community.
