Cairns Classic Hot Air Balloon ride with return transfers

It was a fabulous trip.. mike who picked us up so early was fantastic, he was caring and also very funny. He helped me and said he had my back. He also gave me a huge party for my birthday - the cairns street parade lol. Then. the balloon ride was amazing, we were gifted with the most beautiful morning. Our pilot, Neil, was brilliant and had just clocked his 5000 flight. His experience showed with the most gentlest of landings. We also had a wonderful chat with the other pilot. It is an experience everyone should try and this was the team to do it with. Bubble after the flight was icing on the cake.

I went on the Hot Air Cairns balloon flight for my birthday and it ended up being one of the best experiences of the whole trip.

Frank and Tony were absolute legends from start to finish. Watching the balloon inflate in the dark before sunrise was already amazing, then getting in with the jet burners absolutely blasting overhead was unreal.

Once we were up, it was the complete opposite, incredibly peaceful floating over the Mareeba Tablelands as the sun came up, with huge views over the farms, open country and mountains.

The landing was probably one of my favourite parts. We came down in a completely random paddock with cows, kangaroos and wallabies all around us, which made the whole thing feel like a genuine adventure rather than a scripted tourist experience.

The crew made everything relaxed, funny and professional, and even the landing, packing the balloon away and having a drink afterwards were part of the experience.

Massive thanks to Frank, Tony and the crew. Perfect birthday morning and easily one of the highlights of Far North Queensland. Would 100% recommend it.

While I wasn’t sure what to expect, this hot air balloon experience was exceptional! From the time they picked me up at the door until the time they drop me off at the door, they kept us engaged and in the loop as to what to expect. The operation was extremely professional, and I had complete confidence in our pilot, Josh. He explained the mechanics of how the balloon worked, which I found very interesting. The balloon ride lasted far longer than I expected, and doing the ride Josh pointed out numerous spots of interest. At the end of the ride, they provided drinks, fruit, and snacks. This is one of those experiences. I will remember fondly for a lifetime.

Visiting Australia for the first time and I wanted to make great use of my time here.

Having landed at 5pm yesterday the prospect of having to be up at 3am today wasn’t something I was looking forward to.

However when the bus arrived at my location it all soon became highly enjoyable when Brownie stepped of the bus, introduced himself and away we went.

After an about an hour we met up with the another bus we passengers from other resorts and we headed off to our take off site.

A brief safety video played and shortly after we arrived.

Getting out from the bus you are greeted by this enormous balloon being filled. Brownie and the other ground crew kept up entertained until Neil the pilot was happy for us all to load up.

As we floated across the the skyline Neil was pointing out Roo’s and telling about the area we were travelling above. We dropped down for better view of the wildlife and to wave to some of the locals.

Being up high and seeing the sun rise over this beautiful landscape was amazing and the perfect start to my Australian adventure.

All too soon it was time to come in to land a nice smooth land in a small paddock. Precision parking from Neil!

All too soon it was time to head back onto the bus and head back to be dropped back off. A quick bathroom stop and a chance to grab a coffee on the way and another safe and enjoyable journey. Be the time we had arrived back at my drop off point a link to the complementary photos which had been taken throughout the experience was in my inbox.
