Free/Cheap Ideas:

  • Go to the beach!- This is an obvious choice! With one of the most iconic stretches of coastline in the world how can you go wrong. Here are some of our favourites. Burleigh Beach, South Stradbroke, Rainbow Bay and Budds Beach.
  • Bike Ride- Jump on your deadly treadly and ride from Main Beach to Burleigh. A great way to start the day or head there for sunset, you won't be disappointed. 
  • Picnic or Park BBQ- Take advantage of the amazing bbq facilities at most public parks. 
  • Currumbin WildLife Sanctuary- Daily from 8am and 4pm they host a FREE lorikeet bird feeding for all ages.
  • Markets- Cheap street eats, local craft and good times all round. The Gold Coast is home to the BEST local markets. Here are some to check out. Sanctuary Markets at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Hinterland Feast in Country Paradise Parklands, Coomera Markets, Mt Tamborine Markets.
